Administration
Mrs. Christy Bowman, Principal
Let me begin by welcoming you to Loganville Middle School where Learning Means Success!
Middle school is an adventurous time for students and parents. These three years will be full of changes and LMS is here to support you during this time of transition from child to teenager. Students, while you are here at LMS we will provide you the tools you need to be a successful student here and at the high school. Middle school can seem tough, I encourage you to catch the LMS spirit and get involved in a club or sport where you can make great friends and feel connected to your teachers and classmates. Remember that we are here for you; let us know how we can help when you are faced with a challenge. Parents, although your middle school student may appear resistant to your attention right now, it is important that you stay informed about what is going on in their lives at school. Ways to be involved include checking their grades on Infinite Campus, communicating with their teachers, participating in PTO and volunteering at the school for booster clubs and committees. We value you as stakeholders and your input is welcome.
About Me: I am beginning my 26th year in education with teaching and leadership experience at the elementary and middle school levels. A Tennessee native, I moved to Georgia right out of college to begin my career in DeKalb County. Currently, I am the principal of Loganville Middle School, but previously I have been a teacher (1995-2001) and assistant principal (2002-2005) here. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Tennessee Technological University, a Master of Education in Middle Grades from Georgia State University and an Educational Specialist from Lincoln Memorial University in Educational Administration and Supervision. LMS is a great school and I am honored to be a part of it and a part of the lives of such wonderful staff members and families in the Loganville community.

Mr. Brian Hobbs, Assistant Principal - 7th Grade
Parents and Students, Welcome to the new school year. Loganville Middle School is a phenomenal place to be and I can't wait to get this school year started. Our number one goal here at LMS is attaining a high level of student achievement. We have done that in the past through a highly qualified staff that strives to improve both the strengths and weaknesses of each and every student. Overall school improvement is a major priority and consistently enables us to maintain an extremely high level of expectations for both our teachers and students alike. Please know that my door is always open and I welcome both students and parents to call/email me anytime if they are in need of support.
About me: I am a long time resident of the Loganville Community and like to spend time with my wife, Kristina and our two wonderful children, Brayson and Brynlee. I also enjoy hunting and fishing as hobbies during time off. I played basketball for four years at Armstrong Atlantic and State University during my college years. I have worked in Walton County the entirety of my career and my wife is also a Walton County educator.

Mrs. Karen Thompson, Assistant Principal - 6th grade
I have been working in Walton County Schools as a Assistant Principal since 2002. I am an alumnus of Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville and Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. I played collegiate basketball for 4 years and softball for one. My degrees were completed at GC & SU with a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish, Masters of Public Administration, Masters of Education-Leadership and Specialists in Education-Leadership. The first two degrees were on an athletic scholarship and the last two degrees were earned on an academic scholarship.
I am fluent in Spanish and have traveled the world extensively. Some of my greatest educational achievements are being awarded the National Scholar for Educators- Administrators in Leadership and the Fulbright Scholar Award. This was issued by the U.S. Department of State. This award allowed me to visit Mexico for a semester as an Administrator for grades 6-12. Being the recipient of the prestigious Teachers Exchange Award for educators, the Embassy of Spain sent me to the Canary Islands for a semester to work with educators from all over the world in Spanish Translation. I feel that all of these experiences have led me to be a well rounded administrator for your child. May this year be the best for your family and child here at Loganville Middle School.
